Xi’an China
Looking through old photos of China makes me realize how much I really miss the place. In 2010 I was sent on an engineering assignment to build the 747-8 inboard flaps near Xi’an. For me this was a perfect setup. Wake up early do sunrise photos, work all day, get back around 7, shoot some more, hit the hotel bar with all of the other Boeing employees, get 4-5 hours of sleep and repeat….. 7 days a week. By the time I returned home from China 3 months later I had thousands of RAW files and a pretty raw looking physique as well. Upon landing back in the States a few people told me I looked nearly dead. “Thank you so much I said, but next time you get a 3 month all expenses paid trip to China, let me know if sleeping is at the top of your list?”

The Hunt:
The Great Wall of Xi’an circles the entire city of Xi’an and is a great place to take pictures as well as run or ride your bike. I would come up here many nights to take picture of people as well as the sunset. The lantern light up around the entire wall and make for a beautiful night scene.
Enjoy…
